Mike Boyd is an experienced criminal specialist, having been admitted as a solicitor in 1979. He was for many years the senior criminal partner of Alexander & Partners in Harlesden prior to the merger of Alexander & Partners' criminal department with EBR Attridge in 2008.

Over the last thirty years Mike has dealt with many serious and complex criminal cases including serious fraud, murder and drugs cases. He has Higher Court Rights of advocacy and is a police station and court duty solicitor. He has acted as a defence consultant to the Ministry of Justice, Better Trials Unit.

Recent cases:

R v C & Others [2008] (murder): Our client was acquitted of the murder (by stabbing) of a youth in an alleged gang attack.

R v G [2008]: An appeal to the House of Lords on a Human Rights Act point involving an alleged rape. An appeal is outstanding to the European Court of Human Rights.

R v B & Others [2007] (conspiracy to murder): An Operation Trident case. B was acquitted of being involved in a shooting murder, said to be part of a series of "tit for tat" shootings in North West London.

R v I [1994]: Mike represented one of the very few people to be prosecuted in the UK by the Serious Fraud Office, following the collapse of the bank, BCCI, a case involving billions of pounds
