Javed qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and has specialised in criminal defence work in both the Magistrates' and Crown Court. He has defended those charged with the most serious of offences including terrorism, murder, large scale drug importation, serious fraud and extradition.

He is a member of the Young Fraud lawyers Association and the Society of Asian Lawyers.

R v C [2008] - murder - client charged with 3 others with a gang related stabbing.

R v C [2008] - conspiracy to supply heroin - client charged with 2 others with conspiracy to supply 330kgs of heroin.

Government of Germany v O [2003] - client wanted for extradition to Germany to face trial for murder.

R v C [2003] - client was a music producer charged with rape.

R v F [2002] - client charged with 2 others with a multi-million pound ‘advance fee fraud'.
